TL;DR
Read-only servers with strict schemas are everywhere. Write-capable servers are rare and wrapped in approval flows. Nobody ships 40 tools to one agent anymore.
What survived
Narrow, typed, read-mostly tools. Tool search instead of tool lists.
What did not
Auto-generated servers over entire REST APIs. They work in demos and drown the model in production.
